The Zao (in Greek, Zao means "life") is an all-in-one biomedical device which can be used for mHealth in disaster relief, wireless communication and remote monitoring. It is used with mobile devices (Android and iOS) or access points and contains a pulse oximeter, blood pressure monitor with neonatal and adult settings, thermometer, glucometer interface and optional RFID reader, all with a WiFi module. The device is small and light (310 grams).
For field use, there is also an option for a special lightweight backpack with built-in flexible solar cells which can recharge both the Zao and the mobile phone. READ MORE...
